The US Pakistan Center for Advanced Studies (USPCAS), a program funded by USAID and operated in collaboration with Mehran University and the Sindh Irrigation Department, required a reliable on-site water level monitoring solution.
Linked Things stepped in to address this need by adapting and enhancing our existing water level sensors for commercial deployment. We successfully developed a solution for real-time monitoring of water levels at both upstream and downstream locations of the Guddu and Sukkur Barrages.
In a remarkable execution, all monitoring units were deployed within a single day, ensuring minimal disruption and rapid implementation.
With this system in place, the irrigation department now has anytime, anywhere access to live water data, enabling faster decision-making and improved water management. Additionally, an intelligent alert system is currently being developed to further enhance responsiveness and operational efficiency.
This project demonstrates how IoT-driven solutions can transform critical infrastructure by providing real-time visibility, improving resource management, and supporting smarter governance.
